The Glad Game:

Okay so I've watched Pollyanna, what a brilliant film!? I've always loved the thought of Pollyanna, a perfectly positive young girl who sees the goodness in everything. 

What is life if we can not see the goodness in everything that is thrown our way? Okay so some things may be easier to detect goodness in that others, but I assure you there is goodness in everything!

Those of you wonderfully positive people who have watched Pollyanna, will know 'The Glad Game', those of you have not seen it; it's simple: Give me a situation, any negative situation? Then I will tell you what there is to be glad about that situation! It works, I swear! 

Here's an example: 

'It's raining, terribly! My cars broke down and my signal has gone, there are no other cars or people in sight until morning when the news shop opposite me opens, what on earth is there to be glad about?!'

Okay, so how negatively rubbish does that sound?! What is there to be glad about...

It's raining, I may not particularly like it but 1. It's certainly good for the plants, and 2. How lucky are we in this country to actually get rain! Atleast were not in a droubt.. Okay so my car is broke, but I'm sure to get it to the garage tomorrow and how great is it that not only have I passed my test, but I have an actual car! Luckier than some.. Okay so sitting in a car all night sounds a little boring, especially without a phone? but it gives me time to think, about all the brilliant things in life, and just think, when the news shop opens, CHOCOLATE BARS ARE CALLING, yum!' 

So you see, there is always something to be glad about, in any situation, we just need to find it first.
